Our ProgramsLeadership and Workforce Readiness TrainingStudents will also participate in a series of team-building, leadership, and workforce readiness activities to prepare them for the world of work. In the Fall semester, occasional after-school and Saturday workshops will emphasize integrity, reliability, punctuality, and professionalism. Students will practice their communication skills and ability to work as members of a team. Workshops in the winter will focus on resume development, cover letters, and interviewing. In the Spring, students will earn a Workforce Readiness Certificate and apply for internship placements with public agencies, labor unions, and private companies. In the Summer, many students will work in paid summer internships to develop real-world work experience in the green jobs and infrastructure areas. The Infrastructure Academy will provide the training and opportunities, students need to take advantage of these opportunities to earn themselves a paid summer job. |
